The China rose Ducher was introduced in 1869. Repeat blooming roses were unknown to the Europeans until they were found in China. China roses have a bushy habit, and they open well even in humid weather. This pretty rose is a creamy white. Sometimes there is the faintest of pink markings on the outside of the buds. They have a unique smell that reminds me of vanilla. This rose shows up well in the dark so it is a good specimen for a white garden or a night garden. It will grow between three and five feet tall.
