Two Beautiful Canna Blooms September 3, 2016

This canna is called Shenandoah.  I ordered it from Old House Gardens.  It is apparently very rare although people tend not to put much value on cannas because they grow happily everywhere in the south - ditches, abandoned properties, etc.

 When you see the flowers up close you can see that nature has created quite a work of art.

 The yellow cannas were given to me by my neighbor, Debra.  They have to be pulled up on a pretty regular basis or they will take over, but see how pretty the flowers are.
