The Peggy Martin rose has an interesting history. It was the only thing growing in the yard of a lady named Peggy Martin after she returned to her home in Louisiana after the flooding of Hurricane Katrina. This rose had been submerged in briny water for two weeks, and it was still alive. Some of the proceeds of each of these roses sold is given to garden projects in and around Louisiana. It is supposed to be quite floriferous. I am training mine (it is a climber) over an old chain link fence that I scavenged out of my step son's back yard. I bought it this past fall, so it is a very young rose, not yet established.
I detect no scent on this rose, unfortunately.
