I think cannas are so striking in the garden. There are seemingly limitless varieties of cannas with colorful, tropical foliage to choose from. There are dwarf cannas, super dwarf cannas, tall cannas. And so many flower colors to choose from: red, yellow, pink, peach, orange - many now have speckled flowers or they are streaked with colors. And, so easy to grow. Here in Central Texas there is no need to dig up cannas due to cold weather, they are absolutely fine in our temperatures. In very cold regions of the country cannas cannot be grown without digging up the rhizomes in the winter, so lucky us!
