Below, this is Pringle Aster. This plant is growing in the Rose Garden. Over the past couple of years, I have rooted cuttings from my original plant located in the Star Garden, maybe 20 altogether. Now I have Pringle Aster in the Water Garden, the Orchard, the Rose Garden and several beds in the Star Garden. I love this plant. This fall I will root more of them and perhaps sell some in the plant sale. Everyone should have this lovely plant in their garden.
Below, this is Fireworks Gomphrena growing alongside Buttercup Turnera, Velvet Leaf Senna, and Duehlberg salvia. Fireworks Gomphrena is extremely unruly, but I love the mass of flowers just a single plant produces. I'm going to collect seed and start plants this spring. It is an annual.Monday, October 26, 2026
