My Texas Kidneywood looked very pretty today. This one is growing in my Mom's garden - the Water Garden. As you can see, Kidneywood has a very open growth pattern. The scent of the flowers is really lovely, very sweet. Bees love the flowers. It is a fast-growing shrub. I'm going to prune it this winter to try and get a bit more compact growth next year. It will put on blooms multiple times throughout the growing season, particularly noticeable after a good rain.
