Henna is a perennial herb. I have one plant growing in a pot and one plant growing in the ground. They are both in the Medicine Garden.
Henna has been used since antiquity to dye cloth, skin, finger nails, and hair. The leaves do not stain unless they are crushed and mixed with some sort of acidic liquid such as vinegar.
The flowers can be used to make a henna perfume.
