Texas Bluebells July 14, 2013

The bluebells are blooming in the pastures in Burton.  There is one large area in particular where they are blooming on the drive in, and they are quite spectacular.  I only have one lowly plant, and I have no idea how it showed up.  It is growing along the Boardwalk in deep shade of all places.

Apparently Bluebells are perennials.  It showed up last year and it never went completely dormant. That's how I know Bluebells are perennials rather than reseeding annuals - because I watched its progress for an entire year.
