Clearing the Area Across from the House - September 15, 2013

Across from the house, on the other side of the circle driveway, we are clearing the woods of the vines, fallen debris, yaupon, and beautyberry.  It will allow more breeze into the yard area, and it will look more open and attractive.

 Below, this is the section we cleared first. We got a little fooled by this section because it wasn't very wooded.  We thought the entire project would be easier than it has been.

 Above and below, this is the same section that was cleared first. 

Above, the section we cleared today was at the edge of the Rose Garden.  Now you can see most of the Rose Garden from the front porch.
