Butterfly Gingers September 17, 2012

My gingers have gotten a second wind now that "fall" is here.  The flowers of butterfly gingers are really big and showy.  I don't know what the name of this ginger is, but it spreads really quickly.  I have purchased other gingers over the years, and they have performed dismally compared to this one.  Dismal performance in this case means they either have not bloomed or they have not spread.
