My pineapple sage made it through the very mild winter we had last year. It tip rooted everywhere, and now I have a huge cluster of it. One of the most interesting things about gardening is how, from year to year, different plants will look particularly spectacular. I have come to truly appreciate it, because it might not happen again. I used to look forward to seeing a plant do something great because it looked so great the year before. But it doesn't work that way. A stunning display one year does not mean you will have it the next year.
