I like to have flowers interspersed with my vegetables. It throws off the insects that are looking for certain types of plants. Biodiversity is a good thing in the Vegetable Garden.
My Larkspur reseeds. It comes back to this particular spot every year.
Below, this is tall poppy mallow. I love it because the color is so vivid and the leaf shape is really pretty. This is the first time I've grown it in my Vegetable Garden. I sowed the Meadow with it last year, and it reseeds prolifically (so I might regret having it in the Vegetable Garden - we'll see).
I sowed it in half this 4 x 4 bed. In the other half of the bed I have garlic growing.
