Too bad these poppies make an embarrassingly large green plant that must grow all winter long before the flowers finally arrive. But they really are pretty, peony-like flowers. Below is a flower with a single bloom and the other pictures are of double blooms. I don't know why some of the flowers are singles and some are doubles. Just a natural aberration. I look forward to the arrival of the poppies every spring. I have spotted poppies at the far other end of the farm along the fence line. The seeds fly everywhere. They are at the edges of the woods behind the Orchard too.
