The answer is it is both. My patch along the walkway to the Boardwalk looked really pretty this morning. But it can be a real bummer. Many years ago at one of our crawfish boils a guest brought me some wild garlic that she dug up from her garden. I was thrilled to have it. Unfortunately in amongst the garlic was some oxalis that has spread mercilessly in a place where I don't want it. I (im)patiently dig it out and throw it over to a wild place alongside the pool area where it grows with abandon and blooms prettily each spring. The variety below is compact, the leaves stay very short. The interloper has taller leaves on flimsy stems.
